    An issue with the design behind GMT was brought to our attention, which has made us modify some of the mechanics inside GMT.

    Currently, the content rewards players for creating multiple Dorams with no gear, and using HP drain skills on the non-boss flagged monsters to win 70 Coins per Doram created with no effort. While we are aware this is also possible in official servers, understand that due to our 25x rates, it is much easier to create a full account of Dorams and take this to an extreme.

    The changes described here are designed with the idea to promote players to actively participate the content and beat all of the monsters inside the Geffen Magic Tournament, instead of applying an HP % drain status effect and hiding for a few minutes.

     

    Note, this change will be applied in two stages, as we are not prepared to do a full maintenance.

    The first set of changes is provisional, once we have our maintenance, all skill and status effect changes from Phase 1 will be reverted, and replaced with the changes from Phase 2.

     

    Here is a list of changes happening to Geffen Magic Tournament.

     

    Phase 1:

    • Disabled the following skills:
      • Bound Trap
      • Tear Gas
    • Disabled the following status effects:
      • Scar of Tarou
      • Burning
      • Leech End

     

    Phase 2:

    • Mobs past round 6 (Starting with Kuro Akuma) will be immune to the following status effects and skills:
      • Bound Trap
      • Tear Gas
      • Scar of Tarou
      • Burning
      • Leech End
    • Note that the mobs will become immune to said status effects and skills, but will not become Boss protocol.

     

    In addition to these changes, the per-round rewards for the content are being modified.

    Below is a chart showing the current values, as well as the updated ones.

    Overall, this is a 50% increase in GMT Coins for players who complete the instance. (55 additional coins per run)


    We will be attempting to implement Phase 2 by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week (May 2~3). Along with phase 2 will also come the fixes to Fenrir's LoS spells.

    We want to apologize profusely for the live nature of these changes. Our excitement got the better of us and we implemented both GMT Cards and Enchants too quickly, without proper consideration for the repercussions these additions would bring.

    Please read the topic carefully! The issues with Fenrir's spells have been fixed, but require a server maintenance. That means they're coming soon.

    Why disable bound trap effect, If bound trap isnt even working like it should? And disable skills like that? Inst it too much customization?
