    On Tuesday April 23rd, we will be implementing a massive patch with a number of big changes!

     

    First of all, the base level cap will be increased from 175 to 185. As many of you know, this change comes alongside a number of skill updates, which we'll detail in the patch notes for the maintenance. We'll also be introducing a new floor of Magma Dungeon and a 176+ Gramps, along with a few other turn in quests, so that you guys have places to level.

     

    Also, we'll be taking this opportunity to implement the pending Bard and Dancer changes from the previous kRO skill rebalance patch. As a reminder, we intend on implementing the Reload Shadow Set with our MH2 update, which will give players an additional 15% ACD reduction. As an interim until then, we'll be introducing the following equipment changes:

     

    • The refine requirement on YSF equipment will be lowered from +13 to +9 in order to make the desirable effects from these items much more accessible.

    • The following items and their respective enchants will also be implemented to give players even more options when it comes to ACD gear while again reducing some of their refine requirements to +9.
    • The following items have been aesthetically re-designed to have different names and resources while retaining most of their original kRO effects:
      • Physical/Ranged/Magical Heroic Capes, Rosary in Mouth and its awakened version.
    • The cost of these items and their enchants will be a combination of Gold Coins and Zeny.

    Officially, these boots had a single, non-removable card slot for the stones listed below, and needed to hit +12 to obtain all of the effects from their enchants.

     

    We decided to change this locked-in slot into an enchant that CAN be changed into other stones. This way, a player can change the stone on their boots without having to make a completely new +9 item.

    Note: The awakening system will work similar to the Siege Token Awakening system.

    After awakening an item, players will be able to freely swap between different versions of the item.

    Of course, none of these items or their awakening will cost Siege Tokens as they are not tied to the War of Emperium.

     


     

    We know that a large number of these changes are going to heavily impact the War of Emperium, and we promise that we will pay close attention to how these changes affect it. As more powerful gears continue to be introduced into the server, and as skills continue to become more and more powerful, we've accepted that by continuing to implement these changes, eventually we'll reach a state where everything will be a one-shot in WoE. It is for this reason that moving forward, we will be much more open about customizing behavior in WoE further, be it by increasing reductions further across the board, or changing skill behavior inside the castles.
    The first of such changes will be to give an additional 20% ACD reduction to all players inside Battlegrounds, WoE and Draft WoE.

    This will be an experimental change we'll be looking at closely, and potentially further modify as things evolve.

     

    Additionally, we'll be creating the role of WoE Commissioner. To become a WoE Commissioner, you will need to be the leader of an active WoE guild in NovaRO with 12 or more members. This is a volunteer position, and as long as you fit the criteria mentioned previously, all guild leaders are automatically pre-approved. These WoE commissioners will be in charge of relaying player feedback to us in the form of organized ideas and suggestions. We hope that through assigning these roles, these players can provide us with more in-depth player perspectives on the impact of our updates. We will regularly review their feedback and make adjustments to skill interaction and behavior in WoE and BG when necessary. Once the system is in place, if you have a pressing opinion on certain changes, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of the commissioners and have your voice heard. Of course, we ask that you give the changes a shot and form an opinion through experience, instead of jumping to conclusions and posting opinions based on a forum post or rumor. More details regarding the WoE Commissioner initiative will be shared on a separate Dev Blog at a later time.

    These refines requirement updates looks nice but what happens with older refineable content that needs above +10 to be good or just decently good?
    i.e: Banquet/Terra Gloria Robes, Mad Bunny/Cursed Knight Shields, Malaya Port &, Ferlock (resistance, cast and movement speed gears, etc)
