    Christmas Event

    •  New Feature Added Mysterious Gift to Prontera (prontera,163,165).
      • Mysterious Gift allows you to play a random Frosty Game and earn Secret Santa Gifts without searching for a Gift Box in fields or dungeons, for the cost of 2 Jolly Socks.

    Features

    • Added new options to equipment Grade:
      • Developer's Note: This is a very recent official update, which we decided to implement as fast as possible, as this change will result in a lot less BSBs being consumed in the path towards Grade C, thanks to less dependency on Refine Hammers.
      • Ungraded -> Grade D
        • Equipment at the refine rate of +9 can now be graded.
          • Chance: 20%, cost unchanged.
        • Equipment at the refine rate of +10 can now be graded.
          • Chance: 30%, cost unchanged.
      • Grade D -> Grade C
        • Equipment at the refine rate of +10 can now be graded.
          • Chance: 30%, cost unchanged.
    •  New Feature Added new items to Pizza Sword String's (dali02,137,86) item exchange:
      • Gray Abrasives (Melee/Ranged/Magic), for 3 Ymir Fragments, 35 Ymir Ores and 350,000 zeny.
        • Gray Abrasives can be used to enchant Thanos-AD weapons with two random options.
      • Reform Boxes for Thanos-AD weapons.
        • Developer's Note: We forgot to add these in the initial patch. Reform Boxes will always be available through both Item Exchanger NPCs from the content where catalysts are obtained, and Mei at the Para Market's Grade Room.
    • Currency drop rate changes and additions:
      • Doubled the drop rate of Twilight Illusion Stones.
        • Developer's Note: As a reminder, Twilight Illusion Stones can be exchanged at the Illusion Merchant (prontera,88,113) for Dissonance Stones, which grant 4 random option enchants for Illusion Dungeon lv4 weapons.
      • Added Varmeal Tickets as drops from all monsters located at 17.2 dungeons.
      • Added Cor Cores as drops from all monsters located at Rudus F1.
      • Increased the droprate of Varmeal Ticket, Cor Core and Unknown Part throughout the game.
    • Legacy of Glast Heim changes:
      • Removed the 1-day cooldown. It can now be repeated indefinitely.
      • [Bound] Sealed Temporal Crystals and [Bound] Temporal Stat Manteaus are no longer obtainable.
      • Added two new exchange options to Temporal Enchanter (glast_01,157,217):
        • 1 [Bound] Sealed Temporal Crystal to 6 Pure Temporal Crystals.
        • Any [Bound] Temporal Stat Manteau + 6 Pure Temporal Crystals to a regular Temporal Stat Manteau. This option keeps the Manteau type, enchants, cards and refines.
    • Illusion Refine Boxes can now be freely traded.
    •  Community Suggestion Character Slot Voucher can now be used up to 4 times per account, for a total of 60 characters.
    •  Community Suggestion Removed the BSB warning for level 5 weapons and level 2 armors below +10.

    •  Community Suggestion Mob's RES and MRES stats will now be shown in @mi.

    • AP is no longer lost if you die in an Event map.

    • Added an option to the Build Manager to save Trait builds, as well as a "Full Build" option.
      • Developer's Note: Sadly, we had to delete player's old stat builds due to the way we implemented this new feature. This is something that should never have to happen again.
    • Added a "Repeat" option to Thanks Ticket Machine (malangdo,215,119).
    •  Bug Fix Arch Mage can now buy spell books.
    •  Bug Fix Fixed Amicitia and Nifflheim dungeon entrance questlines.
    •  Bug Fix Changed MVP spawn timers in the new dungeon from 6 hours to 3 hours.
    •  Bug Fix Lowered Wolfchev quest completion flag from requiring you to kill the MVP to unlocking the instance access.

    Items

    • Improved the functionality of some boxes to no longer require confirmation.
    •  Bug Fix Fixed ET-Insta Polish to properly work with [EVT] Wickebine Cat Ears.
    •  Bug Fix Fixed Light Blade Modification Cube to work as intended.
    •  Bug Fix Fixed Patent Orient Sword not being able to be reformed into -LT if it had cards.
    •  Bug Fix Fixed Fortified Rod to give the bonus to Jupitel Thunder Storm as well.
    •  Bug Fix Weapon level 4 specific bonuses will no longer work on level 5 weapons.
    •  Bug Fix Added the missing SP regen bonus for Spirit Pendulum-LT at refine 11.
    •  Bug Fix Fixed Guyak Pudding 30m's weight from 100 to 10.

    Skills

    •  Community Suggestion Removed Dragon's Breath added delay.
      • Developer's Note: Please note that this will introduce weird behavior, such as double casts.

I wish you had any plan to refund for the people already spent a lot of BSBs.

We do too but sadly this would be impossible to do. These are things that involve chances and as such there is no way to calculate what we should be giving people back.
This is why we rushed to implement the change as soon as we could.

Would you ever consider reducing dragon breath delay a bit for battlegrounds? reason why no one plays this build there is because RK needs to take a lot attacks to cancel animation delay and doesn't happen a lot in BG compared to woe, at some point players avoid hitting RKs just to not increase their spam which makes them feel useless.

And those who spent bilions doing the nonsense refining to +10 and +11 in grades D/C/ungrade gears only to now see this "most fresh" update do what?

We're aware it's an unfortunate situation, and regrettably there's nothing we could reasonably do.

This type of behavior encourages people to just wait out updates that will make anything cheaper, it makes people paranoid to enchant/refine anything that is brand new because it'll always be subject to be changed. People who dare try enchant/refine new content will have a fear of getting put at a disadvantage because some sort of update will always make it easier compared to before.

Frankly, this update is really good for the future, but for people who graded Level 5 Weapons and Level 2 Armors before the update just lost a lot more resources with no compensation, it's very frustrating.

This is one of the first times something like this happens, as usually we are able to offer refunds. Not only that, but I'd like to one more emphasize how this is an official update that we rushed to implement and came out a week ago. That means the update only existed after our release of the grading system. I understand the frustration, but this is not something that can become a pattern. The alternative was to not implement the change, and I'm sure nobody would prefer that.

Is it possible to check the hammers at the very least? If it's possible then maybe refunding at least that would be very helpful

We would not only have to try to check every single refine attempt for hammer usage, but then also need to tell the people that didn't use hammers that they're out of luck. This is an option we considered but felt was even more unfair, and extremely time and resource intensive.

I apologize but I'm going to stop engaging with this topic in this announcement post at this time. I wish this update had happened months ago so we could have brought it in with our release of grading, but here we are.
