    Features

    • Decreased the mob density of Juperos Expedition fields by 20% for selected mobs.
      • Affected mobs: Ancient Venatus (All), Ancient Apocalypse, Ancient Archdam, Ancient Robot and Ancient Excavator.
    • Increased the drop rate of Juperium Energy from 5% to 10%.
    • Increased the drop rate of Magic Power Amber [L] and Critical Amber [L] from 0.1% to 0.13% and 0.14% respectively.
    • Enchantment Stone system changes.
      • Developer's Note: We've been monitoring how players have been interacting with the system post-pity and are following up with some incremental changes. We feel like the pity system did a good job at adressing the worst case scenarios, but still felt Onyx could be made easier to obtain, as well as increase the obtainment of Jades, to make them a more interesting option compared to Ambers.
      • Decreased the amount required to craft a Honed Stone from 3 to 2. This means two of the same stone will drop its "tier" by one.
        • Developer's Note: Initially we were exploring general drop rate increases across the board, but the more we looked at it, it seemed clear to us the real problem was the amount of time it is taking for players to obtain their full class sets. With this change, we are effectively decreasing the farm requirement by 33% for all Onyx items.
        • For example, turning in two Critical Amber [U] will return a Honed Jade.
        • We'll be refunding players who have already condensed any stones into Honed Stones.
          • You'll receive a generic Type Stone for each transaction you've crafted. These can be condensed into honed and work exactly like any of stones obtained from mobs.
          • This means downgrades from Ambers to Jades will be refunded a Generic Jade instead. For this reason, condensing 2 Generic Stones will not decrease its tier by one.
          • All refunds were send with this maintenance through RODEX.
      • Increased the drop rate of most Jades by around 33%.
      • Added a new command: @pity
        image.png
        • Developer's Note: For the time being, the command will only show you the pity count for your last killed mob, but we may explore expanding it further in the future.
      • Garments which have been enchanted through the Hat Genie can now receive Enchantment Stones.
    • Newly transformed garments by Miles the Milliner can now be visually enchanted by the Hat Genie.
      • Developer's Note: If you had transformed your costume prior to this, putting an Enchantment Stone into it and removing it will update your Garment to use the new system. (Keep in mind removing Stones is free of charge)
    •  Community Suggestion Decreased the prices of enchanting and removing visual effects with the Hat Genie.
      • Apply an effect: Lowered from 6500 to 5000 Nova Points.
      • Washing (Unbound remove): Lowered from 9500 to 6500 Nova Points.
    • We've reverted a change with the mob name color in @mi, as it required a specific chat channel to be enabled. We'll be exploring bringing back this functionality in the future.

    Skills

    • Implemented the rebalance of pre-4th Job skills done with the 4th Job rebalance.
      • Developer's Note: These changes were done in conjunction to the first 4th Job rebalance patch. They're being implemented now in preparation for 4th Jobs. Keep in mind, this does not mean 4th Jobs are due to implementation for the next maintenance. For more information on the status of 4th Jobs, check our previous announcement here.

          Monster Hunting

          • Developer's Note: In this patch, we are implementing many of the changes we detailed in our previous dev blog, in what we are calling a "pre-patch". After reading through your comments and hearing some feedback, we decided that, due to the large amount of fundamental changes that are happening to Monster Hunting content, it would be better to release those changes first. The idea being that this will give you all time to adjust your gear and builds, and just your general feeling, to how Monster Hunting content will progress from here. Therefore, while this patch will not content a new Great Monster, it will include all the changes we've already detailed to this point.
          • Main Features
            • Overhauled the Great Monster AI. Generally you should not notice much difference between now and before; however, this allows us to easily expand and improve upon the AI. This has also allowed us to fix some long-standing bugs:
              • The first is the Great Monster zone moving. You can read more about this later on in the patch notes.
              • The second is a bug which meant, under certain conditions, a Great Monster would not attack the person with top Hate and instead attack someone else closer. This should be fixed so that the monster will move to attack the person with top Hate.
              • The third bug occurred when attacking a Great Monster in an un-attackable state meant the monster would glue itself to you.
              • Developer's Note: If you see any strange behaviour in the Great Monster AI, please let us know in a bug report with details on what the AI was doing at the time.
            • Dynamic Damage Adjustment (DDA) has been implemented.
              • Due to the implementation of DDA, all damage numbers within MH have now been removed. Instead, your damage numbers will reveal the threshold of damage your party is currently reaching.
              • For example, damage is not adjusted for the first 10m, after which is it reduced by 20%. A party's damage numbers will show "100" in the bubble until 10m damage has been reached, at which point it will show "80" (as damage is reduced by 20%).
              • We had to compromise here, as this was what we determined to be the best option for: 1) not showing incorrect damage numbers; 2) and showing how well players are doing damage-wise.
              • If you wish to see raw numbers, Ambient Monsters within MH will still show damage numbers. Furthermore, the Training Room is a valid option as DDA will be not applied there, and you will be able to see your raw damage output.
              • All 2-Star mobs now have Green Aura effect (90% damage reduction), but had their HP reduced by a factor of 10.
            • Reworked Rage and how Rage accumulates.
              • This is a large rework that includes re-balancing numbers, reworking some Temperaments and generally expanding the system.
              • Many of these changes will be displayed in game as part of the Tip Box, including, but not limited to, information found on the Wiki page for each Great Monster.
              • One aim of this rework was to introduce more logical and "flavorful" Rage mechanics.
              • For example, Garronath has the Aggressive Temperament. Part of the rework means that Aggressive Great Monsters now do not become Fatigued after Enrage.
              • As mentioned, bonuses granted by Temperaments will be presented in a Tip Box. We're looking forward to seeing how you interact with these new mechanics, so please give us feedback on them.
            • The Savage Coast and the Wyvern Airship (as well as any future Monster Hunting maps) have their own day-night cycle.
              • 3 seconds Earth time is roughly equal to 1 minute "MH time".
              • Day occurs at 8am and night occurs at 8pm.
              • Some monsters, Ambient and Great Monsters included, may now act differently depending on the time of day. The big difference you will see is that some Ambient and all Great Monsters will have a sleep schedule.
              • You can check what time it is on the Savage Coast using the @time command.
            • Great Monster nests have been added.
              • This is a rework of the previous "zone moving" for Great Monsters. Now, each Great Monster has two nests which they may retreat to when they are in danger.
              • The Great Monsters will slowly restore health when in their nest and asleep -- so find them quickly to stop them recovering too much!
              • Furthermore, we have altered how and when Great Monsters decide to move zones, and can depend on the Great Monsters Temperament.
          • Miscellaneous Changes and Fixes
            • Garronath changes:
              • Fester damage is now fully reduced by Poison elemental defense, instead of halved.
            • Nysori changes:
              • Fixed activation chance for Sleep Cloud mini-mechanic when Nysori is Enraged.
              • Slightly increased the activation chance for Mystical Crystals.
            • Great Monsters, especially Garronath, should no longer follow parties into safe zones, where they don't belong.
            • Gin Infinity Potion's "Unbreakable cast time" effect has returned (revert to official behavior).
            • Red and Blue Herb Activators have been changed:
              • Effects are no longer dispelled upon entering MH.
              • Bonus to damage will be reflected in the party composition inside MH:
                • If you are a Genetic, +15%.
                • If you have a Genetic in the party, +5%.
                • Otherwise, +0% (no effect).
              • This change was made to reduce waste item usage.
          • Role Skill Changes
            • Tank
              • Retaliate (New Tank Role ability)
                • 6 second Cooldown
                • Only activate-able within 3 seconds of receiving damage from a Monster.
                • Deals damage to all Monsters within 3 cells of you with greatly increased Hate and Rage generation.
                  • Damage is calculated using a portion of the new Climactic Fury formula (see below).
                • Hitting an enemy with this ability grants the following statuses
                  • Increased Hate generation from all damage dealt up to a maximum of 20% for 10 seconds
                    • This amount is scaled based on the damage dealt
                  • Decreases After-cast delay by 20% for 10 seconds
                  • Exhausted afterwards for 3 seconds.
              • Climactic Fury
                • Now has a new damage formula.
                • The "base" damage of Climactic Fury is now based solely upon your defense stat, your weapon level and refine amount.
                • Constituent parts of the base damage now grant diminishing returns. For example, the damage bonus gained by refining your weapon from +16 to +17 is relatively smaller than going from +7 to +8.
                • Similar to before, your current HP % and Fury stacks will greatly influence the amount of damage done by Climactic Fury.
                • Fury now reduces damage only from auto-attacks and not all damage sources.
              • Vanguard
                • No longer grants Fury stacks upon a successful block.
                • Vanguard status changed:
                  • No longer grants Max HP or after-cast delay.
                  • Now reduces auto-attack damage by 15%.
                  • Duration changed to 10s.
                • Cooldown changed from 16s to 25s.
              • Sentinel
                • Removed passive effect of reduced damage taken and damage dealt.
              • Defiant Stand
                • Increased Exhausted duration from 20s to 30s.
            • Damage
              • Battle Trance
                • Buff duration increased to 65s.
                • Decreased cooldown on success to 58s and on failure to 10s.
            • Utility
              • Release Bombring
                • Corrected the cooldown in the skill description; it was 15 seconds but should have read 10 seconds.
              • Megaton Bombring
                • Completely reworked skill. The old effect has been removed and cast time is reduced to 0.5 seconds.
                • Now, when you are in the Megaton Bombring form
                  • Skills are enabled.
                  • Your Release Bombring cooldown will be reset and can be used on a much shorter (3 second) cooldown.
                  • 30 second duration.
                • When in this form, you cannot gain new Statusring counters, but you may use them if you have built up enough previously.
                • Maximum amount of Megaton Bombring counters has increased to 6. Only 4 are still required to cast the skill.
                • Reduced cast time to .5s.
              • Set Dizzyring/Sleepring have received a few changes, which were detailed above with the rest of the crowd-control (CC)-related changes.
            • Common
              • Roll
                • Increased range to 4 cells (5 if Utility).
                • Increased cooldown to 10s.
          • Job Skill Changes
            • Developer's Note: As explained above this list of changes is a building on top of the last Job skill updates in MH. Skill descriptions will be updated after this patch.

Following this proposal, we are going to spend more time looking at other cards that may benefit from similar proposals. These tailored changes will come with the release of Angnar.

          Nice!

Enchantment stones solution looks good on paper

it is, tbh, i felt like my burden in my back when doing this was reduced, plus pity being visible really helps since its so hard to guess whether you're going to pity or not (in my case, getting insane)

Feels like the 4th classes are a scapegoat to the rest (those costume stone rates are a freaking joke and pity is just a psychological terrible way to force players to continue that madness).

The only good thing coming at 100% is the change on Juperium Energy (about time seeing increased rates after telling more than once that the rates were bad and needed changes) and nothing else.

I appreciate the effort but to me this isn't enough.

Earth Drive was forgotten :( It had a cd reduction too before the 4th class patch part. Was lowkey expecting that part atleast to be implemented but owell ill wait for the 4th class

This should be included on this patch, we just missed it on the Patch Notes table. I'll add it now.

Reduces the cooldown of Earth Drive from 3 seconds to 2.5 seconds based on level 5.

However, If it is not working correctly, please fill out a bug report.

The enchantment stone update still won't solve the fact that we have to farm a ton of materials to craft class stones and if we have plenty of chars, we multiply those materials by the amount of chars that we have. Reminder that these are all UNTRADEABLE materials/stones, they're not gonna break the economy in ANY WAY.
Why not just make it tradeable like MH materials if you're gonna still make it this grindy?

Can't have them tradeable now, can we? Nova wants us to have the authentic card-farming experience from 20 years ago, but without being able to sell the cards and being forced to make all characters of the same class if we don't want to lose our sanity to the farm

This range buff in SC is a dream for the Sura, I've lost count of how many times I got bugged in the cell because the enemy was attacking me 1 cell apart and I couldn't walk.
