  1. 'BSBs are extremely powerful items' depends . with refinement rate at 9-to-10 and 4bsbs requirement u see that power somewhat fading as instead of some steady results you still end up with heavy RNG. ... not sure what problem (target for abuse) and concerns (bsb distribution) was implied? leechers issue probably? caz other than that ... selling em will give an average player similar to other activities amount of zenay at best, using your stash may leave you with a thought that u should have sold em instead (if you spent 50+ on one item without getting it to +10)
  2. " static and repetitive content" agreed. imo for weeklies to be perceived as somewhat comfy - all requirements should have been reduced 25% (that is, to 3dailies, 30multi, 3concerts/fishings) - - - "inefficient because the zenny/hours farming event content is one of the worst in the game." yeah, that also feels like downside... i think on average i end up with 2 bbgums/h...even if to sell offseason - it will be 10m at best. (not sure if lowering their price 2 times will help as market will be oversaturated ...maybe adding other items on vendor...bbranches, sieg tokens, convex mirrors etc?) plus manuals are still unsellable. - - -
  3. any tutorial on cooking? ...ah, dat was easier than i thought ...mats prices are meh... meow vouchers only for pots, right?

    Patch Notes #141

not sure if 2019 had same system (probably not; as it felt like all sites were 'shared' amongs everyone and it added some competion, overall not detrimental at all, maybe even 'fun' with some minor strategizing) anyways, Mr. Panic.. my muscle-memory tells me that the situation now is worse than it was. (before some last fix - that situation was bit better because 3T spots gave 6 digs. maybe even all 6 were "guaranteed" ) cannot say that it is only my opinion. people who have the same level of concern are either lazy or reluctant to address it in suggestions, motivating that it would be simply rejected (which is highly likely, because mine was rejected by Nova) ... ok, lets say we moved on to other activities ...though now when coin count matters...i wonder what is the vision behind all the activities. is grotto to be considered an 'end-game' for coins gathering? otherwise i see no reason for not boosting mining (and maybe fishing*) to same level of grotto coins generation (which i assume is about 400-600 per 15minutes on average) * i havenot trade fishes, but i assume it would give about ~200-300...minus baits costs. also fishing gives almost no keys (maybe because it was put in the same 'tier' as concert which definitely gives none...thus was not intended to be equalized with digging2019 by coins count or digging2020 by keys count) cheers.

though the number of attendees is much bigger. plus less movement (thus, 'detection') speed (~20% less than genetic cart boost speed?) grotto has no x2 coins bonus i think. plus issues like air, movement speed, aggro mobs, disturbing porings around (no homul or aoe to clean the area quick). during old good times frenzy-digging was probably comparable to grotto mobs killing. perfhaps 400-600 coins on the island (now probably 200) also it feels like the chances of getting 24-36-100 coins are lower now. compared to 2019 it is much worse. back then i could dig 3T spots almost non-stop. lets say 20sec searching time on average. maybe 1 min when very unlucky. if lucky you could see a next spot to go on a screen. (id say no less than 25 3T sites were mined per frenzy) now it can be tolerable (comprably lucky) only when it is less packy (end of the week, certain hours). maybe 40sec searching time on average ...so it would be ~15 3T sites per such frenzy mined and when it is packy and you are not so lucky - some searching periods could easily be 1,5-2 minutes (maybe ~12 3T sites on averange in the end) (so if the number of spots is the same, id assume that the number of diggers is at least x2 times bigger....that is why 2020 digging feels at least 2 times worse than 2019 one) i just liked digging. now i gave up three or more frenzies just because i was making 2 full-circle shore runs without seeing any 3T spots (or other resultless routes taking 2-3mins) one of the latest unlucky frenzies i kept going just to see how many spots i will find in 15 min - it was 8 3T sites (so 1 per 2 minutes)...and couple of them dissapeared before my eyes or had 1 dig in it. so as currently mining is no good i either go grotto or do shellfish runs during half of which i see no 3T spots (almost full-circle shore run during frenzy-mining ofc) i had the thought that some may appear below some newly added things... but will not resolve the statistical disbalance of sites quantity. as far as map goes...i found couple things "restrictive" to running -> some pop-up messages (some bread-giving NPC, and fishing area announcement). plus shore area down-left from starting deck. bit hard to navigate when searching in that area and trying to up-right direction. regards.

    Patch Notes #140

eh...digging was more or less okeish with 6 digs...but now...1-3 digs from 3tier spots...

'i see some people hit grocto and levias just once' it is all because such people are saving amethysts and minimobs for others. just lazy to make binds for autoattack on/off (thus staying with AA being off when facing usual mobs). plus with some crowds with 10+ people and messy targeting you may fail to deliver even a single hit so...why cannot u do the same?

    Summer Festival Updates #139

eh crashed 2 times when on shellruns ...near other games areas. often cannot open inventory. ... i ragequited freaenzy digging several time time caz no 3rd spots on island... like if searching 3+ mins it became too frustrating dunnno...maybe good boots will help abit....dont want to dig underground caz uncomfy speed.
  12. as ppl said (1) unrelated / non-contributive to 'core' RO content (2) inability to do it on your pace (3) being burned out caz of grindy and repetitive gameplay (4) kinda soloish as imo coins-wise you are forced (due to known reasons) to do grotto most of the time. and ro already became too solo-ish (5) bugs and quadrupled attendence generating all sorts of deficiencies, time waste and confusion in most cases ppls frustration is unrelated to leech. in some it is unrelated to being able to complete it or not. for me it is just blatant difference from previous weekly which was the total opposite of the above points.
  13. even if I will be able to finish weeklies, i think my threshold of somewhat-enjoyment is about ~8000 coins ~2 dailies ~4fishings&concerts ~20 multiplayers (if queues will be reduced, now it is a waste of time)... after this is burning out and not repeating it in any time soon.
  14. will repeat some thoughts on previous mh2+pvm weeklies first. it was a good way for many ppl to have a steady progression/income. yes, not the most profitable, but that was 'counter-balanced' by a comparatively applealing gameplay (1) not some souless/braindead grind (dozens runs or hours on the same map) (2) not some sad soloing (3) ppl could do it on their pace ....imo completion was a main gaming activity during the week for a bunch of people. and that is why i think people are largely confused about new weeklies (that gameplay was torpedoed + time-costly requirements added) and that is why i am bit confused with statements like u are not forced to / u can do smth else can people do something else? yes they can. will they? some probably will (some maybe got bored of general pvm eventually) some will probably simply rest till october. others will try to finish summer count at first (and dunno if succeed or if would want to continue doing it again and again) "I advise anyone who does not enjoy the Summer Weeklies to not complete them" here is the question of summer activities remaining enjoyable when you are 'overfed' because of requirements de facto asking for somewhat mandatory time-sensitive logging and somewhat rigorous and restless grinding. "Weeklies were designed to be a high-ask, high-reward system" but it is not how it is now? because i see a high-ask, but does it give high-rewards? lets say ppl on average will get coins to buy 2bbgs per one fest hour (they will sell offseason for 5m *selling costumes offseason might generate 2 times less zenay) so 10m per hour ... bsbs for, say, 150m total... lets say they manage to be very lucky and devoted grinders and finish summer requirements in 5hours (x 2bbgs)+1hour mh2&pvm. so 200m/6h= 33m/h. already average. ...and that is without adding time to i.visit concerts/staying in queues; ii. restore shovel/rod iii.mitigate some bugs (relog, return-reenter); iv. simply chill as being unable to be active during the whole hour; v. face some unlucky rng times (anything, failing to survive near king, or missing mini mobs, or getting 1 coins from chests, failing in multiplayer) ...

    Summer Festival Updates #139

11k coins is just too many. caz you d have to zealously grind 5-10 hours in grotto for that. * mh +pvm weeklies were good and welcomed by many because it was relatively fun party play without monotonous brainless grinding (even if that was less profitable than some known places) and imo completion was a main gaming activity for a bunch of people. and half of that bunch prolly will try to do general pvm ...other prolly will rest till october ... 40 multiplier is another 2 hours spent (or more, given i got into 2-3 multy games per 15 minutes. even not during frenzy. and given you need to attend fishing/concert - it adds festival hours count) ...and mostly wasted as you d have to wait on queue without zealously grinding grotto. poring pattern nerf is very unnecessary (ok tnx for response Nova) . ....so i guess now it operates like countdown and without queues but with comparatively much more people around...well, point is that i lost hope to join it rather quickly as 'somebody is playing' and all chars close to pattern table are trying to get a round for them making my odds of joining low...so i went for other activities.
