  1. Maybe a stupid question but since when people are so sensitive about using "KK" instead of "M" when you're shouting on #trade chanel?

Eeeh, don't worry about it @@. It takes a great deal of time and effort to accept differences in the world. People get used to their routines and any change can greatly upset someone (unfotunately). It's sad that someone would start insulting you for that, because from my perspective, he's the one unaware that in other parts of the world, "kk" is actually the norm. This is the same debate as "YY/MM/DD" vs "MM/YY/DD" (which I argued with Nova ahah, for the market page), or the "billion" vs "trillion" debate and many more. These are all surprisingly controversial and it's best to simply adapt to what the current location (or server) you are currently on instead.

@TokeiburuSince you brought up the "year/day/month" problem - neither of those two you wrote down make sense to me :'D I'd probably be the 3rd part of the conflict since we're using the "DD/MM/YY" in my place haha.

Anyway thank you very much for the kind words!

That billion thing only happens because some countries don't like to use short-scales for large numbers because long time ago they adopted it as such. It's the same old thing of ºC vs ºF and cm/m vs ' and '' instead of using ISO standards.

To get an idea of how silly (seriously, why not ISO it? :( ) this is, check this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_and_short_scales#Current_usage

It gets weird and annoying when you talk the same base language as your co-worker but since he comes from a different country, he uses a different numerical system (and you both forgot that) and discussing big numbers ends into crap unless both show real visible numbers.
