kRO 4th Classes and skill upgrade to all 3rd Classes

Hello hello, we meet again guys,

today i would like to tell a bit about the update we are gonna get in future,

very exciting and makes you want to keep playing RO, especially since NovaRO always get things ahead !

Rune Knight will be changed to Dragon Knight, rumored to have Dragon transformation!

Cardinal comes from AB, while Inquisitor from Sura, Arch Mage from Warlock, Elemental Master from Sorcerer,

Imperial Guard you know that one, Meister is the next Mechanic, Biolo from Geneticist, Abyss Chaser from SC, Wind Hawk is new Ranger with different support falcons,

Shadow Cross is the edgy GX, Troubadour/Trouvere or the new performer.

Max lvl for 4th classes is 250, having golden aura

Now as we see in RO, we have Status System , and 4th Classes will have new system, Trait status and skill talent, not much info about skill talent from now.

but for Trait Status, here they are :

Power, Stamina, Wisdom, Spell, Concentration, Creative.
every lvl up you will get some amount of Trait points, the difference is just, they are not going to increase, they will keep at 1 , the requirement to add the point.

- Every 1 Power will increase 5 Status Atk, every 3 Power will increase Special P.Atk by 1
- Every 1 Stamina will increase Res by 1, every 5 Stamina will increase Res by 5
- Every 1 Wisdom will increase MRes by 1, every 5 Wisdom will increase Res by 5
- Every 1 Spell will increase 5 Status Matk , every 3 Spell will increase Special M.Atk by 1
- Every 1 Concentration will increase Hit +2 Flee +2 , Every 5 Concentration will increase Special P.Atk by 1, Special Matk by 1

- Every 1 Creative will increase Heal Plus by 1, Every 3 Creative will increase Critical Damage Rate +1

So what are they ?

Special Patk
- it is ability to increase Final physical attack by % rate ( after damage formula calculation taken )

Special M.Atk
it is ability to increase Final magical attack by % rate
Resistance
it is ability to reduce damage taken Before physical defense is applied
Magic Resistance
 it is ability to reduce damage taken Before magic defense is applied
Heal Plus

 it is ability to increase Final healing recovery rate by %
Critical Damage Rate
- as we know, critical damage has default value in damage formula calculation, which is 1.4 x crit damage multipler,  this will increase that 1.4

- Skill Critical Damage adjustment

reduce effectiveness of critical damage on skills by 50%, but in return, the skill modifier will be increased.

Rune Knight
- Dragon Breath / Dragon Breath Water
base level effect increased in skill formula from BaseLv/150, to BaseLv/100.


- Dragon Training

Improves the influence on Dragon Breath and Dragon Breath - Water damage from 120% to 140% based on level 5.


- Sonic Wave
skill modifier increased from 1700% to 2550%, cd reduced to 1.75 seconds, acd reduced to 0.5 secs.

- Wind Cutter
skill cd increased from 0.2 to 0.35 seconds, acd reduced from 1 to 0.7 seconds.

- Storm Blast
skill formula is changed to 2100%.

- Ignition Break
skill aoe range is reduced to 9x9 and critical chance is based on 100% Caster's crit chance, instead x2 of it, skill modifier increased to 2250%.

 

Royal Guard
- Reflect Damage

change skill name to Reflect Damage Reduction, reduce received reflection damage.

- Shield Spell
change the skill effect to :

-Level 1: Recovers 5% of your MHP every 3 seconds for 90 seconds.

-Level 2: Recovers 3% of your MSP every 5 seconds for 90 seconds.

-Level 3: ATK + 150 / MATK + 150 for 90 seconds.
 

- Banding
change to usable in Party, increase Caster's Def by number of total party members. Max Def + 360

- Hesperus Lit
change cast condition, if using within Inspiration, will deal more damage.

- Earth Drive
removes defense and movement debuff, change skill formula, damage will be increased by caster's STR and VIT.
allow the skill to follow weapon property, instead forced Earth.

- Vanishing Point
change skill formula, and increase base damage from 500% to 800%.

- Canon Spear

change aoe type from diagonal line to 5x5 range around target.
allow the skill to have chance to deal Critical Damage. ( half of user's critical rate )

- Moon Slasher
removes sitdown effect and give Overbrand Ready buff.

- Overbrand
change to self cast, knock back effect is removed and increase damage when Overbrand Ready buff on effect.

- Ray of Genesis
removes HP consumption, change to self-cast, damage formula is changed to 2300%, caster's INT will increase the damage further more.
within Inspiration status, damage formula increased to 3500% and will inflict Neutral damage.

- Inspiration
increases duration from 90 secs to 180 secs, removes penalty when casting, HP penalty when attacking.

can be used with Banding and Prestige.
change bonus to HIT + 60, All Status + 30, ATK + 200, MATK + 200, MHP + 20%.

Mechanic
- Arm Cannon
fixed cast changed to 0.1 secs, variable cast changed to 2 secs, cd is changed to 0.3 seconds at lv 5,
skill modifier is 1900% regardless of the size, base level bonus effect changed to Base lv / 100, skill range is changed to 5x5 and 9 cells.

- Knuckle Boost
variable cast is reduced to 0.5 secs, skill modifier is changed to 1100%, and base level bonus changed to Base lv / 100.

- Axe Tornado
removes damage bonus when using wind elemental weapon, outer range damage reduction, hp consumption when casting.
increases skill modifier to 1100%.

- Power Swing
skill modifier is increased to 1800%, base level bonus changed to Base Lv/100, Caster's STR and DEX will affect a whole formula instead some part of it.

- Vulcan Arm
skill modifier is increased to 420%, apply Base lv bonus of BaseLv/100, acd unified to 0.1 secs regardless skill lv, added 0.2 secs variable casting, aoe range increased to 5x5.

Guillotine Cross

- Soul Destroyer
skill cooldown increased from 0.15 to 0.3 secs, cast range is reduced to 4 cells, skill modifier increased to 1500%.

- Rolling Cutter
rotation count duration is increased to 10 secs.

- Cross Ripper Slasher
skill cooldown reduced to 0.2 seconds, acd reduced to 0.3 seconds.

- Cross Impact
skill cooldown is reduced to 0.35 seconds, skill modifier increased to 2150%.

- Counter Slash
removes knockback effect.

- Dark Claw
effectiveness is reduced by 50% when using on Boss monster,  skill duration is increased to 20 seconds.

Ranger

- Sharpshooting
cast range is increased to 11 cells, skill modifier is increased to 1800%, aoe type is changed from straight line, to 5x5 around target.

- Aimed Bolt
always deal 5 hit regardless size of the target. consumed arrow reduced to 3,  skill modifier is increased to 5750% within Fear Breeze status.

- Arrow Storm
skill cd unified to 3.2 seconds regardless of skill lvl, fixed casting is changed to 0.3 seconds, variable cast reduced to 2 seconds, consumed arrow reduced to 5.
skill modifier is increased to 2000%,  increased furthermore to 2700% within Fear Breeze status.

- Unlimit
removes 1 DEF/MDEF penalty, duration is increased to 180 seconds.

Shadow Chaser

- Auto Shadow Spell

increases MATK by 50 within skill duration.

- Triangle Shot
skill modifier is increased to 2900%, base lvl bonus is changed to BaseLv/100.
removes knockback effect, variable casting, and add 0.35 secs cooldown, acd is reduced to 0.35 secs.

- Fatal Menace
skill modifier is increased to 1200%,  Caster's AGI will increase the damage further.

Warlock
- Gravitation Field
reduces total hit to 10, skill modifier is increased to 500%.

- Mystical Amplification
change to self buff and consume SP overtime, effectiveness is reduced by 50%.

- Soul Expansion
skill modifier is increased to 2000%.

- Comet
skill modifier is increased to 6000%.

- Tetra Vortex
skill modifier is increased to 4800%.

- Freezing Spell
skill "Mind Slot" is increased from 4 to 8, total of 40 at lv 5.
however the maximum sealed spell is still 7.

Sorcerer

- Psychic Wave
deals double damage when equipped with rod or book-type weapon and reduce interval.

- Diamond Dust
damage formula is changed, damage will be increased by Frost Weapon skill level.

- Varetyr Spear
damage formula is changed, damage will be increased by Striking and Lightning Loader skill level.

- Earth Grave
damage formula is changed, damage will be increased by Seismic Weapon skill level.

- Spell Fist

skill logic is changed to self-buff, attack limit will be removed, each attack will consume 20 SP.
MATK added bonus reduced to 200%.

- Killing Cloud
removes Red gemstone requirement, skill duration is changed to 5 seconds, grants target new status : Cloud Poison.
Cloud Poison will reduce target's Poison Resistance by 25%.

- Poison Burst
change to 2500% to targets and inflict 3500% magical damage to targets that affected by Cloud Poison,  Caster's INT will increase damage additionally, Base lvl bonus is changed to BaseLv/100.

- Striking
removes critical rate bonus, increase ATK up to 100 and Perfect Hit+70.

Arch Bishop
- Judex
skill modifier is increased to 1000%

- Adoramus
skill formula is changed,  base modifier is increased to 2800%, if using within Ancilla duration, Adoramus will inflict Neutral damage.

Sura

- Rising Dragon
removes HP drain and SP recovery penalty, reduced MHP/MSP bonus from 12% to 10%, skill duration increased to 300 secs.

- Sky Blow
skill modifier is increased to 1000%.

- Dragon Combo
skill modifier is increased to 900%, cast range increased to 2 cells.

- Fallen Empire
removes immobilize debuff and bonus damage based on size.

skill modifier is increased to 3100%, cast range increased to 2 cells.

- Tiger Cannon
skill logic is changed to self-cast, deals 7x7 aoe around Caster, retain weapon elemental property for each target.

skill cooldown is reduced to 3 secs.

- Flash Combo
removes Sky Blow from the combo, reduces idle time after combo.
skill cooldown is reduced to 3 secs.

- Rampage Blaster
reduces Sphere consumption to 3.

- Ride In Lightning

reduces Sphere consumption to 2, variable cast is reduced to 1 second, skill cooldown is reduced to 0.5 seconds

- Howling of Lion
reduces Sphere consumption to 3, skill range is reduced to 9x9, Fear status is removed.

skill modifier is increased to 2500%, apply base level bonus of Base Lv/100.

Minstrel and Wanderer
- Metallic Sound
deals double damage.

- Severe Rainstorm
changed skill formula to 850% skill modifier, reduce arrow consumption.

- Reverberation

skill aoe range reduced to 5x5, arrow consumption is reduced to 5

 

Geneticist

- Prepare Potion

add new items to manufactur, "Homunculus Nutrition" to increase Homunculus Loyality.

 

- Aid Potion

healing effectiveness increased by 3 times when used on Homunculus.

 

- Cart Tornado

skill modifier is increased to 2000%.

 

- Cart Cannon

multiplicative factor within skill formula will be increased by twice of Caster's INT.

 

- Blood Sucker

changed to buff that gives HP Absorb from 5% damage with 9% chance to 1 party member.

 

- Spore Explosion

secondary explosion is removed, changed to affect target and its surrounding.

will add debuff to 10% increase ranged damage taken to targets within 5 seconds, but 5% to Boss monsters.

 

- All Homunculus

will have increased hp and sp

- Needle of Paralyze
skill modifier is increased to 4500%.

 

- Poison Mist

add new poison effect, "Mist Poison",  reduces target's FLEE to 0 within duration.
skill modifier is increased to 1000%, interval is 1 sec regardless skill lvl, damage will increased based on Homunculus's DEX.

skill duration is changed to 15 secs, will install new one if used.

 

- Pain Killer

duration is increased to 600 seconds, attack speed reduction is removed, can only target Owner.

 

- Lava Slide

skill range is changed to 7x7 aoe, status effect given from this skill is removed, attack limit is removed as well.

duration is changed to 15 secs.

 

- Pyroclastic

duration is changed to 600 secs, atk increase is 100 and remove auto spell effect.

 

- Midnight Frenzy

skill modifier is increased to 4500%, ignore target's defense-flag added to skill.

 

- Eraser Cutter

skill modifier is increased to 4500%, value of Homunculus's INT within skill formula will be adjusted upward.

casting time is reduced to 1.5 seconds.

 

- Xeno Slash

casting time is reduced to 1.5 seconds.

 

- Stahl Horn

skill modifier is increased to 4500%, value of Homunculus's VIT within skill formula will be adjusted upward.

 

- Stein Wand

20 seconds of cooldown added to the skill, add new effect "Rock Wall" for 600 seconds duration.

within "Rock Wall" status, increase Homunculus and Owner's DEF by 500, MDEF by 150

 

- Heilige Stange

casting time is reduced to 1.5 seconds, skill modifier is increased to 4000%.

This is a big deal. RIP everyone who invested in 200+ crit gear. Is it confirmed translation?

Is str soutane now better choice than luk soutane, since you don't need additional CRIT?

Yes, it says Caster's critical chance, not half of it.

There's so much things to comment on this that i don't know where to begin.

  • ABOUT CRITICAL RATE:
  • So, i made some fast math assuming "Crit Damage bonuses" will be reduced by half.

This is more or less the average crit damage of a standard RK with Claw Sword..

 

Can be less or more depending on your gear, but we can round it in 220%

Our actual damage increasement with that amount of would be (base 100%) + 220% = 320% = (320/100) = 3.2. If we half the 220% crit damage, it remains only 110%, so our final damage increasement would be (base 100%) + 110% = 210% = (210/100) = 2.1).

The difference between the new damage and the old damage is 2.1/3.2 = 0.65625

So we can say the nerf decreased the damage of all the skills x 65.625% in an average RK build.

I'm not expert on GX and RK, but let's assume that GX and Ranger have more or less the same CRIT DAMAGE (220%)

 

Notice that this is not the actual formula, are just simplified numbers to make a comparision between the old damage and the new damage:

 

 

SONIC WAVE

- Old damage = 1500%

- New damage  2550% x 0.65625 = 1673%    <----- The Damage of Sonic wave actually went higher. LOL

 

IGNITION BREAK

- Old damage = 2000%
- New damage = 2250% x 0.65625 =  1476%  <---- Huge damage lost. You can make up for it replacing crit rate  gears for damage gears, but the damage will still lower. Still, the 100% crit rate is nice, was a pain in the ass having to get 220+ Crit rate in RK for Ignition.


CROSS IMPACT

- Old damage = 1750%
- New damage = 2150% x 0.65625 = 1410% <---- The damage went a little lower but the Spam totally makes up for it, since now with 0.35 sec cooldown, it will be spammable double the times.
 

 

SOUL DESTROYER

- Old damage = 1400%
- New damage = 1500% x 0.65625 = 984% <---- So not only the Spam was reduced by the cooldown, but also the damage went lower by like -40%

RIP Soul Destroyer.  :delpihappu:

 

 

SHARP SHOOTING

- Old Damage = 1150%

- New damage = 1800% x 1181 <----- The damage went a little higher too. If you stack more ranged damage and less crit damage, the damage will be even higher, This in combination with the 3 minutes Unlimit and the Aimed Bolt Boost, could make of Ranger a Top Meta class again.

  • I'm glad the crit rate of IB is now 100% like with Storm Blast and Sonic Wave. Getting 220+ Crit Rate was a pain in the ass for RK.

  • Excellent news!! Now Unlimit will last more, Ranger will be a lot more consistent Job. Sadly, the Critical damage nerf will affect Sharp Shooting too, but is a small drawback in comparision. All Ranger builds will be boosted with this.

I´m glad too, however on my class i don't like how the skills will work (have to wait... i know... but it doesnt look good tp pvp oriented players).



Royal Guard

Comment: Who reflects melee damage in pvp naturaly? Crusaders, Paladin, Royal Guards... so, you will reduce damage of reflection vs other Rgs...
Personal opinion: the skill now becomes only PVM.

- Shield Spell
change the skill effect to :

-Level 1: Recovers 5% of your MHP every 3 seconds for 90 seconds.

-Level 2: Recovers 3% of your MSP every 5 seconds for 90 seconds.

-Level 3: ATK + 150 / MATK + 150 for 90 seconds.

Comments: This looks good!!!! however this means that we lose ATK on lv 3 Shield Spell... (Illusion Sacred Mission buffs 190 ATK)
 

- Banding
change to usable in Party, increase Caster's Def by number of total party members. Max Def + 360
 

Comments: DEF still needs to be balanced.


- Hesperus Lit
change cast condition, if using within Inspiration, will deal more damage.

 

Comments: None.


- Earth Drive
removes defense and movement debuff, change skill formula, damage will be increased by caster's STR and VIT.
allow the skill to follow weapon property, instead forced Earth.

Comments: Looks interesting, however the possibility of breaking the shield is still there... or they will modify that too?

- Vanishing Point
change skill formula, and increase base damage from 500% to 800%.

Comments:  Vanishing Point vs Shield Chain? according to what we know... Shield Chain will still be better.

- Canon Spear

change aoe type from diagonal line to 5x5 range around target.
allow the skill to have chance to deal Critical Damage.

Comments: NOW THIS looks good! is like a splash damage skill on hit! (I like it)

removes sitdown effect and give Overbrand Ready buff.

Comments: No... the sitdown was good...    we´ll have to wait to see if "the skill damage" compensates or the "Overbrand Ready buff" can justify this change...
On description, i don´t like it.

- Overbrand
change to self cast, knock back effect is removed and increase damage when Overbrand Ready buff on effect.

Comments:  I don´t know what to think so far... the knock back was something that helped a lot in PVM, however in bg i´m used to it.

- Ray of Genesis
removes HP consumption, change to self-cast, damage formula is changed to 2300%, caster's INT will increase the damage further more.
within Inspiration status, damage formula increased to 3500% and will inflict Neutral damage.
Comments:  I will have to see the formula, for as long as it´s a MATK skill, the Royal Guard won´t have it easy in PVP environments.

- Inspiration
increases duration from 90 secs to 180 secs, removes penalty when casting, HP penalty when attacking.

can be used with Banding and Prestige.
change bonus to HIT + 60, All Status + 30, ATK + 200, MATK + 200, MHP + 20%.

Comments: Those who use inspiration... have lost a dear friend.

not sure about pvp, but Imperial Guard rumored to have a skill that force their minimum HP to 1 whatever happened to them, while drastically increase their power within duration, and they cannot die by any means.

ah about Earth Drive, yes they removed that shield break chance. along with debuff tho,  debuff works in MH, it does reduce great monsters def by 25%, quite good imo.
