Lilina
Hello, everyone! To start off, we’d like to extend our gratitude for your patience and anticipation! Today, we are thrilled to present the next layer of the PvP Revamp Project we started off some time ago. As per our original plan written in the PvP Revamp Project kickstart post, our primary emphasis has been on the comprehensive overhaul of the resistance sets, alongside the updated Glorious Rings and the accompanying Custom Weapons. In this announcement, we will explain in depth about these new sets and the direction we are going with their implementation. Revamped Resistance Sets This is the core of the update this time. With the unfortunate, yet necessary departure of the Medium set, we are presented with a massive gap in gear utility. We have addressed this issue by making adjustments to the currently existing Warlord’s Set and WoE Set as written below. Warlord's Helm [1] A new custom headgear intended to be used with Warlord’s Set. Obtainable from “Siege Supplier” NPC in BG (@go bg, right side) for 10,000 Valor Badges. Armor Lv1 Weight: 40 Base DEF: 30 Jobs: All Classes At +10 or higher, Unbreakable in battle Enchantable When worn with Warlord’s Mail: 7% Demi-human resistance 10% MaxHP 200 DEF 100 MDEF When worn with Warlord’s Manteau: 5% Demi-human resistance 5% MaxHP 100 DEF 50 MDEF In the future, this headgear will receive class specific enchants that further boosts the utility of this set. Ideally, Warlord’s Set will replace Medium Set without having all the problems that came with it. We are open to considering suggestions for class enchants; however, it is important for us to engage in thorough discussions before finalizing any decisions in this regard. Warlord's Mail [1] Warlord’s Mail has undergone slight adjustments, and has been added to the “Siege Supplier” NPC shop in BG. Obtainable for 3,500 Valor Badges. Armor Lv. 1 Weight: 80 Base DEF: 60 Class: All Classes 1% Demi-human Resistance At +7 or higher, additional 2% Demi-human Resistance At +9 or higher, additional 2% Demi-human Resistance, Unbreakable in battle Removed immune to frozen effect. If BASE STA is equal to or greater than 75: +100 RES If BASE WIS is equal to or greater than 75: +100 MRES When worn with Warlord’s Manteau: +50 RES +100 MRES Warlord's Manteau [1] Warlord’s Manteau has also received a slight adjustment, and has been added to the “Siege Supplier” NPC shop in BG. Obtainable for 1,500 Valor Badges. Armor Lv. 1 Weight: 40 Base DEF: 38 Class: All Classes 4% Demi-human Resistance When worn with ANY Temporal Boots: 4% Demi-human Resistance 15% MaxHP 5% MaxSP Warlord's Accessories Updated the old Warlord’s Ring and implemented a new accessory, Warlord’s Necklace. Both are obtainable from the “Siege Supplier” NPC in BG for 1,200 Valor Badges each. The original Warlord’s Ring was implemented alongside Barricade Card to give players an option to resist Neutral and Ghost magical damage since at the time, Comet, Metallic Sound, and Soul Expansion were extremely oppressive. Instead, what ended up happening was that nobody used it since the Safety Weapon and Safety Accessories Combo was way more valuable since it gave a multitude of desirable stats such as +5 All Stats, MaxHP, and ASPD, on top of giving 0.3s Fixed Cast Time reduction, 7% After Cast Delay reduction, and 3% All Size resistance. But don’t worry, the Neutral and Ghost resistance have been moved to Glorious Rings (we can wear them now since FIT is gone! ) The new Warlord Accessories will function similarly to the Safety Weapon and Safety Accessories Combo, but without the 3% All Size resistance and 0.3s FCT reduction. Warlord’s Ring[1] Right Accessory Defense: 0Weight: 10Level Requirement: 190 +5 All Stats When worn with Warlord’s Necklace: 5% MaxHP 5% Aftercast delay reduction 5% ASPD Warlord’s Necklace[1] Left Accessory Defense: 0Weight: 10Level Requirement: 190 5% MaxHP 5% Aftercast delay reduction 5% ASPD Updated WoE Armors When it comes to PvP resistance gears, WoE Sets have consistently been the preferred choice. To ensure they continue to remain the top options in this regard, we have made minor adjustments to keep them updated as PvP resistance gears. WoE Plate[1] Added 5 STA Added 3 WIS If BASE STA is equal to or greater than 75: +100 RES If BASE WIS is equal to or greater than 75: +100 MRES At +6 or higher: Added 10% Ranged Resist Increased potion effectiveness from 12% to 20% At +9 or higher: Added Unbreakable in battle WoE Manteau and WoE Greaves Combo: Decreased demihuman resist from 15% to 13% Added +100 RES Added +150 MRES WoE Suits[1] Added 4 STA Added 4 WIS If BASE STA is equal to or greater than 75: +100 RES If BASE WIS is equal to or greater than 75: +100 MRES At +9 or higher: Added Unbreakable in battle WoE Manteau and WoE Boots Combo: Decreased demihuman resist from 15% to 13% Added +100 RES Added +150 MRES WoE Robe[1] Added 3 STA Added 5 WIS If BASE STA is equal to or greater than 75: +100 RES If BASE WIS is equal to or greater than 75: +100 MRES At +9 or higher: Added Unbreakable in battle WoE Muffler and WoE Shoes Combo: Decreased demihuman resist from 15% to 13% Added +100 RES Added +150 MRES Updated Glorious Ring With the loss of the Furious Ice Titan Card combo, we now have a wider range of accessory options available. As a result, we have decided to reintroduce Glorious Rings as a viable choice. To ensure their compatibility with the current 4th Class metagame, we have made some adjustments to Glorious Rings, as follows: Added 10% Holy and Shadow element resistance Added 6% Ghost and Neutral element magical resistance Now gives +5% MaxHP instead of a flat +300 maxHP Increased variable cast time reduction from 3% to 5% Added +25 RES and +25 MRES Custom Weapons These Custom Weapons were designed with the aim of closing the gap between classes that have access to Combat Knife and those that don’t. Performer classes have received Demihuman resist instruments which allow them to use skills without sacrificing too much resistance, while giving Sky Emperors and Spirit Handlers their own version of Combat Knife. These weapons are obtainable from “Weaponsmith” NPC in BG (@go bg, right side) for 1,000 Valor Badges each. Combat Lute InstrumentWeapon Lv. 4 Weight: 40 Base ATK: 80Required Level: 95 Class: Minstrel 5% Demihuman Resistance Combat Whip WhipWeapon Lv. 4 Weight: 40 Base ATK: 80Required Level: 95 Class: Wanderer 5% Demihuman Resistance Combat Bible Book Weapon Lv. 4 Weight: 40 Base ATK: 80 Required Level: 95 Class: Star Emperor 10% Demihuman Resistance Combat Foxtail StaffWeapon Lv. 4 Weight: 40 Base ATK: 80Required Level: 95Summoner 10% Demihuman Resistance Shadow Gears and Onyxes DEF & MDEF Bypass Shadow Gears These shadow gears have been enabled in PvP, including their respective combo effects with Penetration & Tempest Shadow accessories and will work against Players. 24156 Executioner Shadow Gauntlet 24170 Magic Executioner Shadow Gauntlet 24375 Executioner Holy Water Shadow Plate 24347 Magic Executioner Holy Water Shadow Plate General Use Onyxes These onyxes have been enabled in PvP. 25170 Minor Casting Onyx 25067 Casting Onyx In the future, we will look towards enabling Class Onyxes and Class Shadow Gears - although of course, it might take some time as everything will need to be discussed thoroughly. Siege Alterations and Skill Changes A few things have been adjusted in regards to Siege Environments listed below: Siege Alterations Players will now receive 92% less damage from skills instead of 90%. Telma (@go bg) now sells 4th class consumables. General Supplies 10 Eye Cleaner for 1 badge (Cures Pitch Darkness) 10 Ear Cleaner for 1 badge (Cures Quiet) 10 Tonic for 1 badge (Cures Lethargy) 10 Compressed Fire Extinguisher for 1 badge (Cures Blaze) 10 Lucky Water for 1 badge (Cures Unlucky) 10 Strong Antidote for 1 badge (Cures Severe Poison) 10 High Calorie Chocolate for 1 badge (Cures Gloom) 10 Refined Holy Water for 1 badge (Cures Holy Fire) Classes > Sage 20 Lightning Stone for 1 badge 20 Earth Stone for 1 badge 20 Fire Stone for 1 badge 20 Poison Stone for 1 badge 20 Ice Stone for 1 badge Classes > Alchemist 50 Flame Acid Bottle for 1 badge 50 Earth Acid Bottle for 1 badge 50 Gale Acid Bottle for 1 badge 50 Icicle Acid Bottle for 1 badge 25 Advanced Coating Potion for 1 badge 25 Greater Plant Bottle for 1 badge Classes > Blacksmith 25 Machine Capsule for 1 badge 25 ABR Capsule for 1 badge Furious Ice Titan and Furious Snowier Card Combo has been disabled in Siege Environments As we have explained in the previous announcement, this card combo is especially problematic as it is the backbone of semi-dps sets (which nobody likes), limits card variety and options in Armor and Accessory slots, and it made Strip Accessory way stronger than it needed to be. Fixed Cast Time Reduction is no longer capped at 0.7s In line with this adjustment, we will apply custom irreducible FCT on certain skills to prevent them from being overtuned in the future. Subtrait Adjusments Halved effectiveness of subtraits except for H.PLUS, RES & MRES P.ATK: Reduced from 1% per point to 0.5% per point S.MATK: Reduced from 1% per point to 0.5% per point C.RATE: Reduced from 1% per point to 0.5% per point Skill Changes 16th Night: Removed custom 55% MDEF bypass Platinum Alter: Removed custom 25% DEF bypass Spirit Marble: Removed custom 55% DEF bypass Zen/Dangerous Soul Collect now has a fixed cast time reduction cap of 0.5s (irreducible by gear) Call Spirits now has a fixed cast time reduction cap of 0.1s (irreducible by gear) For those who are passionate PvP players, and to those who are looking into dipping their toes in PvP, we apologize for the long delays and lack of communication. Since the start we knew this would be a daunting task that will take a lot of time. For now, we are still building the foundations of our idealized version of NovaRO PvP. Once the PvP environment is stable, we will start talking about the fun stuff and other things such as rewards and incentives. We genuinely want your input, so let's keep it constructive and friendly. Remember, we're players too, and we're counting on your cooperation to make this PvP initiative a success. Best regards, PvP Council kagi, L V K, vaiTico and 2 others like this do you remember love?
Ouilyan
The balance was really good! i like the way this is going, but remember that the balance is only one step... there are other steps that should be taken in order to get players attention. As always there´s things to improve and we will notice them on the way. FEEDBACK: 1- It´s necessary to remove the lv. restriction on PVP-BG People know if they´re too weak to enter or not, so let them decide, that way there´s no excuse. 1.1- After some consideration i think that "Energy Coat" needs a revision for the resistance provided. 2- It´s necessary to remove the @woetrack restriction on woe, right now what we need is people to join, not to put requirements to join. (This can change later) 3- The PVP-BG-WOE team, could think about implementing something similar to a reward system in pvp, and something similar to the woetrack, something like @bgtrack. The rewards should be acording to the relevance. Examples: Set the Track: Costume track - PvP: we have tried the ranking system, but it´s no longer relevant, so why not to add the "skull" (or token or whatever) system (1 kill = 1 skull) (1 death = 0.5 skull) and add a shop that sells you consumables, special foods that you can use even in pvm, you could even add some PRETTY COSTUME (note the capitals please... no more crap costumes hahaha). (The amount doesnt have to be low or high) This skulls same as the gears should not be tradable. (The items can be tradable, sold, etc) 4- BattlegroundsTrack: This could be a @bgtrack, similar to the @woetrack, you DONT get points by killing, you get them for joining Battlegrounds, the reward could be costume gears, BSB, ores, or a special TOKEN that could be trade for "something else" in a npcshop. Additional suggestions: - A global message (twice x day) reminding WOE on saturday, sunday and Draft. - Changing the Happy Hour Battleground message reminding players that they can get Valor Badges & Siege Tokens (if woe) which can be changed at @go woe Edited May 27 by Ouilyan
