Zaedronath is a wind wyvern found during High Rank Hunts at the Savage Coast.

It has been spotted in either the Highland or Forest biomes on the island (zones 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10).

Zaedronath can spawn on the Red or Green areas

Every 9 Monster Kills, you'll be able to obtain a Special Carver which will allow you to acquire a Special Drop on your next carve, at 100% chance.

You can also get a Special Carver after any hunt, with a low chance.

Note that only one person in the party will get these drops per run and you can not get  Shattered Silver Gem and  Silver Gem at the same time

Skills

Dragoon Jump

Zaedronath pulls all characters toward him and then chooses a random target to jump on. He never chooses the tank (or whoever has highest hate). Anyone caught in the jump are will take damage and be knocked down for a while, unable to cast skills. After this initial jump, he will pause for a bit and then do a smaller jump back on the tank (or whoever has the highest hate), this jump will only do a small damage and won't knock down players caught in the vicinity.
Dragon Jump can only be reduced by wind resistance and wind armor at half efficiency and the damage also scales up with the player's HP.

Firestorm

Zaedronath will randomly pull all players twice toward him and begins casting Firestorm. This is similar to the attack by Garronath except that it targets multiple players simultaneously and the player can not leave the zone during the firestorm but  Farcaster still can be used. Once the skill is finished he will jump back on the tank (or highest aggro player). Using 288.png Land Protector will remove any firestorm inside it
Firestorm is magic fire damage and it can be reduced only by Fire Element resist, Fire armor and MDEF.

Fester

Zaedronath will mark any player randomly and after a few seconds, he will spawn Purple Circle around the player. It has no damage but if any player walked into it, he will get 1 Fester stack up to 7 stacks.
Zaedronath will also continuously spit poison on Tank (or whoever has highest hate) during the fight making him get 1 fester stack.
Every few seconds, while affected by Fester, the player will take a portion of its maximum HP. The more stacks a player has, the higher this percentage is. Using 35.png Cure or 53.png Detoxify can remove 1 stack. Also 71.png Slow Poison helps to to reduce damage taken from fester by 50%
Fester will gradually fade away, one stack at a time and can be resisted by only poison armor such as wearing armor with  Argiope Card.

Wind Shield

Whenever Zaedronath in rage, he has a chance to cast Wind Shield which is anyone hit him from far away >5 cells, will get knockback. The only way to counter that is to hit him from a close distance.

Hurricane

Once below 90% health, Zaedronath will occasionally throw a hurricane at the person with the most hate. This does considerable damage but is reduced by race, size DEF and wind resistance.

Tornado

Once below 90% health, the dragon will shoot a tornado outward in a straight line, pushing back whoever is caught in it. You will also take some damage as you are being pushed back. This attack is done every so often and it has double damage when he is in rage.
Tornado is wind damage that can be reduced only by wind element resist and wind armor.

Whirlwind

Once below 90% HP Zaedronath will create a whirlwind that travels in concentric circles moving outward. If you are caught in this you will be carried away until it stops or you hit a wall. You can get out of this skill by using roll. Tanks should try to roll out as quickly as possible. He casts this every so often, and occasionally he will spawn two, one right after the other.
Whirlwind does damage whenever hits a wall and it is wind damage that can be reduced only by wind element resist and wind armor.

Spiny scale

When Zaedronath reach 70% HP or below pulls all party members within the vicinity towards him and After a long windup animation, Zaedronath scatters his poisonous scales in all directions. The neurotoxin affects how the body functions, rendering anyone hit by this attack gets Confused and unable to use skills (2294.png Masquerade-Ignorance effect).

After that, a bunch of spikes will appear around these spikes will cause to get small damage and get Quagmire if any player steps on it. The number of spikes will increase as Zaedronath's HP goes down.

Killing Cloud

When Zaedronath reach 75% HP or below, Randomly he will spawn 2450.png Killing Cloud for a few seconds. this skill is repeatable and can be happened multiple times as long as his HP is less than 80%. Killing Cloud can be removed by some skills like 2323.png Earth Drive and 288.png Land Protector.
Killing Cloud is magic poison damage and it can be reduced only by Poison Element resist, Poison armor and MDEF.

Cage

When Zaedronath reach 55% HP, he will teleport all near player into a cage which no one can leave the cage unless using  Farcaster. During the cage Zaedronath will pull all party members within the vicinity towards him and pepper the area with 3x3 underneath them with overlapping poison cloud AoEs that explode within a small delay and it will generate a one fester stack on any player on top of poison cloud. Zaedronath will repeat it two times after the first one but with an area of 5x5 instead. After that the cage will be gone and all members can move outside.
Cage skill is repeatable every 2:30-3 mins as long as Zaedronath has 55% HP or below

Tips

Tank

• Tank expects to get massive physical wind damage so having high DEF, wearing wind resistance card like  Giant Hornet Card and  Dustiness Card or  Prison Breaker Card with some Racial/Size reduction is really helpful to reduce that damage.
• Tank also expect to get some fester stacks frequently so wearing  Argiope Card help the tank to get less damage and having  Poporing Card and  Obeaune Card will help a lot to reduce number of stack.

Healer

• Always try to use 53.png Detoxify whenever Tank has some fester
• During cage it is a good idea to use 73.png Kyrie Eleison and 2045.png Praefatio for the tank so he can move freely without taking hit lock. Also, healer should keep his eyes on member's HP whenever see any member taking so much damage that means he has a lot of fester stack so he can use 35.png Cure, 53.png Detoxify and 71.png Slow Poison to help him.
• Save Mh100016.png Sanus and 35.png Cure to use it after Spiny scale for whoever need it

All members

• It is recommended for other players to use  Life Powder near the Tank if the Healer gets knocked down during a dragon jump or if members' HP very low to help the Healer
• After every spiny scale, use 35.png Cure for anyone got confusion.
• Use  Farcaster when needed such as if you get high fester stacks, get the aggro or you about to die.
• During cage everyone should have  Poporing Card and  Obeaune Card to reduce fester stack whenever someone need it. Also, wearing  Argiope Card helps a lot during this phase.
• For DPS, try always to check Where the tank is. Don't come near Zaedronath when the tank is not around or else you will get damage from Hurricane.
• Everyone should have fire resist swap during Firestorm.
• Having good wind, poison resistance and using  Fireproof Potion +  Thunder Potion will make the run more smoothly.
